iPresence Inc. President and CEO Christopher Chris Francis will be speaking at the Kansai XR EXPO to be held at Quinto Bridge in Osaka on Thursday, January 2025, 1.Christopher's will participate in a panel discussion on the possibility of using XR technology to solve social issues. At this event, a variety of programs will be held under the theme of XR technology opening up the future.
In addition, at the iPresence exhibition booth, we will be introducing cutting-edge technology through an experience with "temi," a telepresence avatar robot (hereafter referred to as telerobot) connected to local 5G.

What is Kansai XR EXPO?

"Kansai XR EXPO" is an event that shares practical examples of using XR technology (VR/AR/MR, etc.) to address social issues such as regional revitalization, education, work style reform, and support for people with disabilities.
With the Osaka-Kansai Expo approaching, and with attention being focused on virtual expos and the use of technology in future society, the event will be held as a forum for experiencing XR technology in a tangible way and discussing its possibilities.

Regarding the representative appearance at the panel discussion

The highlight of this event will be a panel discussion on how XR technology can be used to solve social issues and contribute to the future society.
Under the theme of "The potential of XR technology in the future society," Christophers' representative will make specific proposals based on technologies that realize a sense of "presence" in remote environments, as well as examples of use in the fields of education and business.
The panel discussion will take place from 14:05 to 15:05. Please join us as we delve into the role of XR technology in the future society from multiple angles.

About the iPresence exhibit

At the iPresence exhibition booth, the latest telerobot "temi” will be exhibited.
"temi" is an autonomous mobile robot that can be remotely controlled to move in real time, providing a realistic experience that makes you feel as if you are actually there.
At this event, temi will be connected to local 5G*, enabling stable, high-speed communications even in a closed environment such as an exhibition hall.
*Local 5G: A unique 5G network that can be used within a specific area. Its main feature is that exhibitions, events, companies, local governments, etc. can create their own dedicated 5G environment.

The "temi" on display this time utilizes the stable communications provided by local 5G, enabling smooth communication and operation with remote locations.
