Announcement of the formation of the "Special Kids Future Concept Challenge Consortium"

*"Anywhere Expo" is a project that has been selected as a participant of the "Robot Experience" at the "Smart Mobility Expo" as part of the "Future Society Showcase Project" at the 2025 World Exposition, Japan.

G-One Inc. (CEO: Mori Keigo), BCC Inc. (President and CEO: Ito Kazuhiko), Tocotoco Earth Inc. (CEO: Toda Ai), iPresence Inc. (CEO: Christopher Chris Francis), and AtoJ Inc. (CEO: Mori Masatoshi) have jointly formed the Special Kids Future Vision Challenge Consortium (hereinafter the Consortium) with the aim of using technology to realize the ambitions of children who have limitations in their daily lives, and will now begin full-scale preparations for the Anywhere Expo.

The consortium companies, who share Dr. Okazaki's vision, will be in charge of everything from planning to running the project on the day. Please keep an eye on the activities of these companies, who are using the latest technology and wisdom to create a completely new Expo experience, together with children who fight serious illnesses every day and who therefore develop stronger, kinder hearts than others.

iPresence Co., Ltd. Representative Director Comment from Christopher Francis

I am honored to be a part of such a valuable initiative.
I am deeply impressed by Professor Okazaki's passion for creating a new Expo experience for special kids and the energy of this project team.
The "Anywhere Expo" initiative will use the telepresence avatar robot "temi" to solve the problem of children who "want to go but can't." We will provide an Expo experience to children who have difficulty going outside, and it would be our greatest joy if we could use this new challenge to further develop teleportation technology and help as many children as possible to expand their new dreams and hopes for the future.

About the technologies used in this project

In this project, we will use a robot called "temi" that allows you to experience being at the location even when you are far away.
"Temi" is a telepresence avatar robot equipped with many advanced technologies to act as a human assistant. Temi can be accessed from a PC or smartphone and remotely controlled in real time, or video chatted with the site. It provides the feeling of being "there" even from a remote location, and is expanding its scope of use to a variety of locations, including factories, offices, showrooms, schools, and medical institutions.
