Yomiuri Shimbun Online | Mother of child with Down's syndrome plans "Anywhere Expo" to allow children with disabilities or serious illnesses to experience the expo from home or in the hospital
The Yomiuri Shimbun Online edition of April 2025, 4 featured an article about "Expo Anywhere," an event where children who are unable to attend the Osaka-Kansai Expo due to a disability or serious illness can experience the Expo from the comfort of their own home or hospital via a robot at the venue.
iPresence Co., Ltd. is a member of the Special Kids Future Concept Challenge Consortium, one of the organizing groups, and is supporting efforts to enable children to experience the Expo through the telepresence avatar robot "temi."
In a test conducted at the Italy Pavilion on April 2025, 4, two-way communication with staff members displayed on the temi screen was realized, confirming smooth operation for the actual event. This event will start on April 18, 2025, and is aimed to be held about 4 times during the Expo, with a total of 26 participants.
