Daino Funeral Corporation

Ace female employee continues to work remotely from head office even after moving to Kumamoto Prefecture for marriage!

  • Daino Funeral Corporation

Oono Sosai is a funeral business company headquartered in Miemachi, Bungo-Ono City, Oita Prefecture. Last year (2023), an ace female employee with seven years of experience working at the head office decided to move to Kumamoto Prefecture upon getting married. Despite the happy event of her marriage, the company was concerned about not wanting to lose such a talented employee. As a result, the use of avatar robots emerged during repeated discussions with the ace female employee about her future work. We thought that avatar robots could complement the "local connection" that was insufficient with conventional video conferencing.

Currently, Ace's female employees work with avatar robots for an average of about three hours a day. They perform managerial duties, including training new employees, remotely, and use appropriate tools to work remotely, such as responding to customers over the phone, responding to customers and participating in internal meetings via online conferences, and using avatar robots for internal headquarters work (internal training and management work). In this way, they are able to maximize their performance even when working remotely.
