The Konpon Chudo Hall of Enryakuji Temple on Mt. Hiei, which is undergoing major renovation, will be transformed into an AR and digital twin!
On April 2021, 4, we began providing AR and virtual walkthroughs on the official AR application of Mt. Hiei Enryakuji Temple (Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture). The completed image of the main hall, corridors, sculptures, etc. has been reproduced in AR, making it possible to explore every corner of the National Treasure through a virtual walk-through.
By holding up your smartphone or tablet, you can view Enryaku-ji Temple's Konpon Chudo and corridors, which are currently under renovation, from various angles, and even see the completed version after renovations in AR.
