Eyes, JAPAN Co., Ltd. is an IT company based in Aizuwakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture that develops systems, develops applications, plans and creates websites, and builds, operates, and maintains networks.
Initially, they used Skype, but found it inconvenient and required advance scheduling, and it didn't provide a realistic feeling during meetings. So they introduced Kubi, which allows them to be more present in the office, has the ability to move their head freely, and allows constant communication without having to press a talk button.
"Using kubi, I'm constantly connected to the office, so I can hear the chatter at work and feel as if I'm working at the office. I can stay connected to the office without having to get someone from work to press the talk button, and by placing kubi on the table during meetings, the person operating it can rotate it at will and look at what I want to see. Even in meetings, I can concentrate on what's being said and who's speaking, so I feel like I'm actually participating," said one customer. Based on this feedback, the company plans to take a similar approach if there are other employees at the company who want to work remotely in the future.
