Connect JAPAN HOUSE LONDON and the Embassy of Japan in the UK with iTOUR®︎ on iPresence!

Hello!
I'm Fujimoto, an intern at iPresence.
in London on December 2018.12.12, XNUMXEmbassy of Japan in the UKWe will deliver a report when we exhibited at the party held in.

On the day of the event, we will have a two-part system for the guests of the party.iTOUR®︎I experienced it!

Part 1: Embassy of Japan in the UK ⇔JAPAN HOUSE LONDON

JAPAN HOUSE LONDON, located on Kensington High Street in London, is a facility that aims to spread Japanese culture to the world.

There are exhibits that combine traditional culture with unique ideas, and many items such as tableware and stationery that are familiar to Japanese people are sold, so many tourists and locals visit every day.

When conducting the iTOUR®︎, the staff of JAPAN HOUSE LONDON directly informed us about the facility.

Here's how it's installed

Two telepresence avatar robots, KUBI, were fixed on tripods.

Guests and embassy staff remotely operated from the embassy and toured the facilities of JAPAN HOUSE LONDON.

There were many people who were interested in the inside of the facility and what was on sale, and it was a lot of fun.

Part 2: Embassy of Japan in the UK ⇔Hotel Marufuku Kyoto Higashiyama

Hotel Marufuku Kyoto Higashiyama opened in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City in the fall of 2018, and is called "Kyoto by the Sea", including the screen using "wisteria cloth", a cloth originating in the Jomon period found in the Tango region. A quaint hotel that conveys the traditions and charms of Tango.

We also set up one telepresence avatar robot KUBI fixed on a tripod, and the local staff showed us around.

We introduced the kimonos and Japanese dolls in the hotel, and showed you the Japanese-style room that can be seen from the miniature garden.

I can't believe it's connected to Japan!It was quite a surprise, and I really enjoyed it♪

Through this exhibition, it is good to teleport with a telepresence avatar robot
・Being able to interact directly with the locals
・ Feel like you are there
・Be able to select and operate what you want to see and where you want to go

I think it was a wonderful opportunity to fully experience these things!

Thanks to the staff of the Embassy of Japan in the UK, JAPAN HOUSE LONDON, Hotel Marufuku Kyoto Higashiyama, and all the staff who came to help on the day, the guests were very happy\(^o^)/

Thank you very much for your cooperation! !

Personally, I never thought that I would be able to enter the embassy in this way, so I was happy to have such a valuable experience\(^o^)/
Also, I hope to continue to do more and more interesting things, so if there is an interesting event, let's collaborate!

We look forward to hearing from you☆

This is what Fujimoto sent (^O^)/~
